Quick bio

Bachelor's at Electric Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP, 2002) and master's at Electric Engineering from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU, 2010). Has experience in Electric Engineering on the following subjects: automatic speech recognition for voice command, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, and artificial intelligence applications to engineering. Interests are among the fields of meta-heuristics, statistics, machine learning, evolutionary computation (in special Genetic Programming), and massively parallel computing (in special GPGPU computing). Currently doctoral student with joint supervision of thesis at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU) and Université de Strasbourg (UNISTRA, France), experiencing on evolutionary algorithms and system modeling.

The aim is to evolve sets of differential partial equations through Genetic Programming that could model a complex system by matching some observed data. The EASEA-CLOUD platform[1] will be used to perform Genetic Programming evolution.
