This computer science PhD (defended the 01/10/2010) is applied to hydrobiology in the frame of the Indices project which aims to answer to the European Water Framework Directive. This project is supported by the Rhin-Meuse water agency and led in collaboration, on biological parts, with the ONEMA, The Cemagref in Lyon, the Gabriel Lippmann research center in Luxembourg and on computer science parts, with the LORIA in Nancy and the LSIIT in Illkirch. In the framework of Formal Concepts Analysis we propose a Galois closure to deal with histograms generated by histogram scaling from a fuzzy many-valued context. The min-max connections requiered to the special closure are mplemented into deux algorithms, MinMaxNC et MinMaxC, which are adapted from NextClosure and Charm. We propose and compare several thresholds of the min-max connection to decrease the number of generated concepts. The biological application looks for an indice to uniformly qualify ecological condition of water surfaces. This indice corresponding to ecologicals traits indicates the behaviour of the species in their environment depending on their biological properties. Galois lattices allow us to find consistent groups of taxons (macrophytes and invertebrates) based on biological properties they share.
