Analysis and evolutional models of human chromosomes
The human genome is almost completely sequenced, i.e. the determination of its 3.2 billions of nucleotides in the 23 chromosomes. The number of genes in human genome is estimated to be 30000 (3% of the whole genome).
The first objective of this PhD. is to identify preferential motifs distributed in the three frames of genes in each chromosome. This step requires the development of text mining algorithm and sensible statistical methods based on recent research work.
The second objective is the development of evolutional models for the human chromosomes based on the results identified in the first phase of this PhD.
